Fused Glass Workshop – making a curved suncatcher.

In this workshop you will design and make a fused glass curve which will
catch the sunlight on a windowsill, or shine with a candle behind it.

This is an ideal way of just having fun creating and will give you basic
information about art glass.

We will start with a brief overview of different types of glass and you will get
an idea of the many processes possible.

Glass will be pre-cut for you, or you can have a go at cutting it yourself and
embellishments will be provided in various colours. Once you have perfected
your design, your piece will be taken away for firing in a kiln and slumped into
a curve for you to collect in around ten days.

One finished piece (if time permits it may be possible for you to make
another piece at an additional cost)
Information about different aspects of glass fusing
All firing costs
Refreshments
Please ensure you wear closed toed shoes. Wear something comfortable and
avoid anything that may drape in your work such as a long necklace or
flowing sleeves.
